While there are some exceptions, most neighborhood colleges do not provide the level of help and steering that most students with learning disabilities require. Take the time to shore up your tutorial skills. If you have not accomplished as well in highschool as you might have appreciated, your academic and study expertise are most likely sub-par. On this case, enroll half-time in either a continuing training (non-credit score) program or in developmental courses at your local people faculty. Work on getting your reading, writing, math, and research expertise as much as snuff, so you can begin college on a confident footing, possibly averting developmental courses.
